New Kettle Weight Workout

I started to fall off of my old exercise routine and I knew that I needed to get back into it, but I just really have not had much time to drive to the gym, work out for 30 minutes and then drive back home.  So, I knew that I was going to have to start exercising at home again.  I have a stationery recumbent bike in my house that I used to ride daily, but the batteries died out and do you know how hard it is to find D batteries?  Well, if you don’t know, it’s pretty damn hard.

I have had a kettle weight laying around my house for a while and I never really used it, so I figured what better time to start using it then right now.  And, let me tell you, this thing has been kicking my ass for the last 3 days.  I started this on Tuesday and have done it Wednesday and earlier today.  It is a short 8 minute workout, so there is no excuses for not having the time.  10 minutes out of the day is not that bad.  But, I feel like I am getting an hour workout in.

It consists of 8 different exercises with the weight that you do for 40 seconds, 20 second break, then next exercise for 40 seconds and so on.  By the end it feels like the 40 seconds is lasting for 40 minutes and the 20 second break is only about 2 seconds, but damn do I feel the positive burning of the muscles and the fat just dripping off.

I plan to continue on with this exercise until I plateau because it is so simple, quick, fast and easy for me to do that I don’t really have any excuses not to do it.

If you go to YouTube and search for a kettle weight workout, you are going to find about a million of them.  They are all different, but all pretty much the same.  I have embedded the one that is the quickest and easiest to follow in case you decide that you want to do this.  Even if you don’t have a kettle weight, you can find something else to replace the weight that you need.  If you are looking for a quick way to exercise around the house, here you go:
