I have this vivid memory: I was at JDRF’s Annual Government Days. We were all sitting in a meeting when one of our vols, an adult With T1D, started to go low. now she was SURROUNDED by a group of parents of kids with T1D and at once, every single one of us became her D-mom. It was actually hilarious when we all looked back on it later. Diavision! Loves it.

It’s interesting how perspective is shaped … I feel like I’m learning so much about my daughter through interactions with adults like you — and here you are learning about diabetes from different viewpoints through the eyes of parents.

I’m very thankful for the relationships and friendships I’ve found through the DOC, and this unique opportunity to gain insight and perspective is one of the top reasons why!
